About PGP

The Association of Personal Growth Professionals was formed to address three gaps:
- the gap in opportunities for professional development
- the gap in easily applied creative & innovative ideas
- and the gap in integrity which is becoming more common (or perhaps more commonly noticed) in our profession.

For some time now, professionals from different fields have been telling us that the existing “schools”, “programs”, “teleclasses”, etc. just aren’t getting it. There is a lot of information out there, but much of it for personal growth professionals is conducted at an amateur level, often by amateurs themselves. Frequently the opportunities take on a desperate or “get rich quick” feel that so many of us want to avoid.

The more professional level opportunities for development available in the world are generally geared toward executives or traditional business people, requiring a great deal of translation to make them applicable for this particular genre. The needs of personal growth professionals simply aren’t being met.

Personal Growth Professionals need easy access to new material and information to incorporate into existing efforts, and stimulation for new, innovative, creative ideas which can be easily and immediately implemented.

PGP, as it is known, is a hybrid of many different professions, all of which serve others by addressing the inner yearning for knowing oneself better and striving to do something about it.

PGP is certainly about professional growth, but is also about personal growth for our members. After all, this is our field, right? And we know that personal growth and professional growth (and success) are intricately bound together.
Members of PGP invest in and are committed to their own development, in both formal and informal settings.
